About Trey Hedrick
Hailing from the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, on the border of Ohio and West Virginia, Trey was raised in a proud Appalachian family where music was as much a part of life as breathing. Trey’s grandfather—a retired coal miner—was a respected musician in the community, and his father, along with much of his family, was steeped in the tradition. From the start, music was woven into Trey’s story.
His sound is deeply rooted in bluegrass while carrying the weight of Americana style. Trey’s vocals are clear, soothing, yet carry a sense of longing—there’s a restlessness in them, a yearning for something just out of reach. His lyrics are stories from his own life—mostly real characters, places, and moments that shaped him. It’s music for the ones who remember what’s at risk, for the ones who’ve been shaped by the land and the people they come from.
Trey’s music doesn’t just tell stories; it makes you feel them.
